Eleven Sisters of Social Service from Canada, Eastern Europe, Mexico and the United States gathered for four days to share, discuss and plan future events for the SSS Federation. Some of the activities that will take place are:
An Asia/Pacific Immersion Project in the summer of 2010.
The 2010 Asian Pacific Immersion Project will be a continuation of exploration of Globalization and the Sisters of Social Service. This will be unique in its exposure of the Charism and Life of the SSS in the eastern world. The context will be the global power shift in today’s world, and to experience the SSS charism in a country (Taiwan) where less than 5% are Christian and in a country (Philippines) with a long history of colonization.
